Trip loved his native St. Louis, but he’s come to love his new home just as much.  He will eagerly take visitors to see the city’s sites.  “This is Grand View Drive,” he explained to one set of out-of-town guests. “President Roosevelt referred to it as the ‘world’s most beautiful drive.’”

After earning his MBA from Webster University in 2009; Trip and his wife who is a central Illinois native moved to Peoria.  They’ve lived in the area for six years now. In that short time, he became very active in the community and earned recognition as a member of Peoria’s 40 Leaders Under 40 Class of 2013.

Trip has served as the Chairperson of the Peoria Chamber of Commerce’s Community Leadership School. He also was a committee member of Hult Center for Healthy Living Development and the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Education and Workforce Development team. He has volunteered for the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Illinois and Junior Achievement of Central Illinois. He’s especially proud of the work he did with Quest, a Charter high school helping students prepare for college and careers.  Along with his INB colleague Adam Lofgren and other community volunteers, Trip taught the sixteen-week program.

Trip recently cut back on community involvement so he could volunteer at his kids' school and coach their soccer teams. Even after cutting back, he remains as a board chair of the Neighborhood House of Peoria, treasurer of Goodwill of Central Illinois, and grant reviewer for the Heart of Illinois United Way.

This immersion into the community has helped Trip earn the ear of many business owners in Peoria.  His ability to help them develop creative solutions to their business banking needs has helped him earn their respect.  Trip enjoys working for a community bank that encourages community investment and customer commitment.

You can learn more about Trip and how he can help your business by following his INB blog posts.
